Still celebrating Chinese New Year, so here are three CNY cards that I made, used for decoration purpose. The materials are simply papers of different weight and colors. The flowers and lanterns and Chinese character were cut from red packets. Yes, besides putting in money to give away as ‘ang pao’s, one can also make use of the nice prints to make Chinese New Year cards. A great way to recycle things, right?

The flowers were from Jusco’s red packet, while the lantern was from Sasa’s.

Can’t remember from which red packet I took the Chinese character from. The borders were also cut from red packets. The white band is actually glitter dust sprinkled on glue. Should have used double-sided tape for a straighter and neater glitter band.

The Chinese character (meaning: spring) was from a red packet. So were the yellow polkadots; just use a paper puncher. The paper with very nice oriental floral print was bought from MidValley. It is said that this paper is printed with soy ink. Wonder what’s the difference…
